When to Use a Wall Mount Tub Faucet

Even though there are several different types of tub faucets on the market, some situations call for a specific style. One of those styles is called a wall mount tub faucet. Here is one situation where you would need to use one, and one situation where you would not be able to use one.

When to Use a Wall Mount Tub Faucet

First, a situation where you would use a wall mount tub faucet is with a bathtub that sits flush against the wall of the spout. That is to say, if the edge of the inside of the tub is flush with the wall from which the spout is affixed, then you would need to use a wall mounted faucet. The main reasoning behind this is because there is no lip on the tub where you could attach the faucet.

When Not to Use A Wall Mount Tub Faucet

There are some situations where you could not use this style of faucet. For instance, many people enjoy using bathroom tubs that are not set up against any walls. This type of freestanding tub would make it impossible to use a faucet that is mounted to a wall. The best solution in this type of situation is to use some type of center set faucet that is attached to the lip of the tub and rises from the floor.

Modern Flair, Aesthetic Beauty, and Practical Functionality

If you do find that you are in a place where you could use any one of several types of faucets, you may still find that it would be best to use a wall mount tub faucet. This would likely be an aesthetic choice rather than a merely functional choice. Wall mounted styles add a modern flair to the room that you are sure to appreciate. They have a nice clean look and are becoming ever more popular in new homes. While it may take a little bit more work to install, it is well worth it for the aesthetic beauty and practical functionality it will provide.
